This book presents the modern model of university heritage management, aiming to familiarize the public with the History Museum’s journey and evolution over time. It is divided into four chapters: the first discusses the contemporary museum environment, with museums seeking a new narrative; the second outlines the beginnings of higher education in Greece during the institution’s first four years of operation (1837-1841); the third analyzes the successive phases of changes at the History Museum during its operation (1987-2021); and the fourth recounts, through short narratives, representative museum exhibits, presented to the public with a fresh perspective, moving beyond a mere description of a museum object.
