The publication completes a long period of research on scientific and administrative issues of the University Heritage of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (henceforth NKUA) and of the History Museum. It presents, complements and highlights unknown aspects of the University Museums and of the other cultural organisations in their travel through time. This publication is not simply an attempt at presenting the History Museum but seeks to publicly unveil the managing model of the itinerary and development of the cultural organisation in time. It consists of four chapters: the first deals with the modern museum environment and its pursuing a new narrative; the second deals with the beginning of tertiary education in the country, in the first four years of its occupation (1837-1841) -i.e. the time when the institution started operating in the present building. The third chapter presents the consecutive changes occuring to the building, in the process of its operation (1987-2021). The fourth chapter narrates and opens up evidence to the public, in a new approach, very different from a simple description of a museum exhibit.
