The future cannot be predicted. However, we can prepare ourselves for the future’s potential alternative scenarios. Even more importantly, social representatives (social administration and policy) can be prepared and equipped with the necessary capabilities to manage alternative future situations.
This work attempts to establish the political economy of future foresight in Greece, delving into the factors that influence human thought and action regarding the future. At the same time, it serves as a practical manual for those who wish to introduce the subject of Long-term Strategic Analysis and future foresight into their knowledge base. After all, foresight is conducted to determine how we can achieve a better tomorrow by overcoming obstacles and mitigating present risks.
From this perspective, this work is addressed to anyone who wants to broaden the limits of their thinking and understand how the world works.
