As part of NKUA’s outreach and social contribution, the ‘Alchemy’ wine was created through the Center of Excellence focusing on ‘Agri-food and Food Authenticity,’ under the scientific guidance of Professor Charalambos Proestos.
The wine is produced using modern winemaking techniques aimed at highlighting the character of the grape variety and its region of origin. Its exceptional quality has been tested and certified by the Laboratories of Analytical Chemistry and Food Chemistry of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Athens.
