The book “50 Years of Environmental Law: From the Stockholm Declaration to the Athens Law School – Contributing to the Evolution of Environmental Law” is a commemorative edition dedicated to Professor Glykeria P. Siouti.
This edition includes 23 scientific articles by Professor Siouti’s students and collaborators, covering a wide range of topics in the field of environmental law, from the constitutional protection of the environment to the modern challenges of environmental legislation. This publication offers a retrospective on the evolution of environmental law, starting with the Stockholm Declaration in 1972 and extending to contemporary legal thought and practice. Professor Glykeria Siouti is recognized for her contribution to the teaching and research of environmental law in Greece. She has been teaching at the Law School of the University of Athens since 1981 and has been a full Professor since 1999, specializing in Administrative Law and Environmental Law. She is also a lawyer and a founding member of the Law Firm “Flogaïtis – Siouti”.
