This textbook is a continuation of the textbook “Volleyball Technique – Tactics” and includes ten sections aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of volleyball. Through this textbook, all aspects of volleyball are presented. We hope that through this, the ancient Greek game-sport, noble in its creation of a high perception of dedication to common effort and competitiveness, characterized by a complete absence of violence, the inspired physical education teacher will not only stop at the knowledge of technique, tactics, methodology, programming, and regulations but will also see (and convey) volleyball as a means of cultivating and shaping the character of their students.

Alkinoi Katsikadelli

This textbook is a continuation of the textbook "Volleyball Technique – Tactics" and includes ten sections aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of volleyball. Through this textbook, all aspects of volleyball are presented. We hope that through this, the ancient Greek game-sport, noble in its creation of a high perception of dedication to common effort and competitiveness, characterized by a complete absence of violence, the inspired physical education teacher will not only stop at the knowledge of technique, tactics, methodology, programming, and regulations but will also see (and convey) volleyball as a means of cultivating and shaping the character of their students.

Ioannis Angelonidis

Ioannis Angelonidis is a Doctor and retired Associate Professor of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in "Volleyball Coaching Science." He holds a degree in Physical Education with further training in social psychology. Since 1980, he was a scientific collaborator at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the University of Athens, and from 1990, when he was elected as a Lecturer, he taught the Volleyball course. He has taught at several coaching seminars. His writing includes several books on "mini-volley," Volleyball, or the Teaching of Physical Education for elementary schools. His research focuses on coaching and social sports psychology and has been published in scientific conferences and journals. He was involved in coaching sports clubs from 1973 to 1992. From 1992-1997, he served as the Technical Director of the Hellenic Volleyball Federation, and from 2002-2007, he was a Technical Advisor to the Hellenic Olympic Committee.

Ioannis Laios

A Doctor of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he taught "Volleyball Coaching Science" at the basic and specialized levels of the course at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science in Athens for 35 years, retiring as an Assistant Professor. He wrote more than 10 books and conducted numerous studies published in scientific journals. He was a volleyball athlete for 20 years, winning 8 Greek championships and was a member of the Greek Men's National Volleyball Team with over 270 appearances, achieving remarkable distinctions. As a coach, he won 6 Greek championships. His accolades include participation in the European Volleyball Champions Cup final (1992) and winning the European Cup Winners' Cup (1996).

Panagiotis Kountouris

Born in Athens, he is a Doctor of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a retired Associate Professor of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science, where he taught "Volleyball Coaching Science" at both the basic and advanced levels of the course and in the Postgraduate Program. His research focuses on coaching in the sport, with a significant number of scientific publications and presentations in Greek and international scientific journals. He has been honored by many sports organizations for his contributions to sports, especially in Volleyball.
